Crispin Daka is a seasoned finance professional with over 15 years of experience as an astute credit risk practitioner. His career spans commercial banking, SME finance, and structured debt transactions across Zambia, with deep expertise in credit evaluation, deal structuring, origination, and financial risk management.
Crispin has held senior leadership positions at both a listed FMCG company and top-tier financial institutions in Zambia. At the financial institutions, he was instrumental in shaping credit strategy and overseeing the assessment and structuring of complex credit transactions across Corporate and SME segments. Prior to joining Growth Investment Partners Zambia (GIPZ), he served as Director of Credit at one of Zambia’s leading local commercial banks.
At GIPZ, Crispin plays a key role in sourcing and developing debt investment opportunities into high-impact SMEs and mission-driven enterprises. In his previous roles, Crispin led and supported credit transactions across a broad range of sectors, including logistics, hospitality, financial services, agribusiness, manufacturing, healthcare, education, and infrastructure, experience that now informs his investment work at GIPZ.
He currently holds board-level responsibilities, serving as a Non-Executive Director on the main board of a leading local insurance brokerage firm, and as a member of the Audit and Risk Committee of a global NGO.
Crispin is a Fellow of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (FZICA). He holds an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the Aberdeen Business School at Robert Gordon University.
