Diana Chabala Mkonda is an experienced and well-rounded professional with a solid background in financial services and audit spanning over 16 years at Standard Chartered Bank and Deloitte. She has extensive local and regional multi-sectoral corporate industry knowledge and its ecosystems. She has built a strong track record in strategic and sustainable business development, investment assessments and monitoring and risk management anchored on a proven leadership acumen.
Prior to joining GIPZ in February 2025, Diana was a Director and Country Head of Global Subsidiaries at Standard Chartered in Zambia. In that role, she successfully managed and structured innovative solutions in corporate finance, financial markets, trade finance and cash management to multinational corporates operating in Zambia. She previously held several roles serving local corporates, commodity traders and agriculture within the Banks’s Corporate and Investment Banking Department. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, she was an auditor at Deloitte.
Diana holds a bachelor’s in accounting from the Copperbelt University and has completed executive training at INSEAD. She has also completed various training courses for which she holds several certifications in corporate credit risk assessments, sales, negotiations, regulatory compliance, and product curriculums covering corporate finance, financial markets, trade finance and cash management.
